The Henan Province "Huaguang" sports series and the 17th Student Wushu Championship of Henan Province, sponsored by the Henan Provincial Department of Education, hosted by Pingdingshan College and executed by the Martial Arts Association of Henan Student Sports Association, will be held online in December 2022. Anyang University physical education Department instructor Hu Shaopeng led the team to battle, with the province's brother colleges and universities on the same stage. A total of 15 people from Anyang University participated in 23 events in this competition. Recently, the Henan Provincial Department of Education announced the results of the Henan Province "Huaguang" sports series and the 17th Student Wushu Championship in Henan Province, Anyang College won three gold MEDALS, four silver MEDALS and five bronze MEDALS.
After receiving the notification of the competition, the school leaders and the director of the sports department attached great importance to the selection of players, the purchase of competition equipment, the purchase of clothing, etc. We quickly formed a team with teacher Shi Ge as the leader, teacher Hu Shaopeng as the coach, and 15 wushu athletes as the main participants. We actively organized training in spare time, and the relevant teachers carefully guided us, making sufficient preparations for obtaining excellent results in this competition.
Martial arts team under the leadership of Hu Shaopeng teacher, every night from 6 to 8 in the track and field training, regardless of wind and rain, cold and heat never interrupted, encountered really bad weather in the indoor exercise strength, a day without interruption. Even some students because of training injuries, still light injuries do not stay in the line of fire, insist on training with injuries. In the competition, the athletes deduce their skills in the flash movement, show the swordsmanship, and convey the Chinese martial arts in the dance of swords, guns, sticks and swords. Every move and style are energetic, and every palm and fist are full of power and beauty.
"If a worker wants to do a good job, he must first sharpen his tools." Over the years, the college has continued to explore the deep connotation and extension of traditional martial arts courses, so that students can fully appreciate the deep connotation and unique charm of martial arts culture.
